Starbucks has announced that its employees are eligible for a tuition reimbursement program if they take online courses to complete their college education at Arizona State University. According to a press release by Arizona State University, the Starbucks College Achievement Plan will “create an opportunity for eligible partners to finish a bachelor’s degree with full tuition reimbursement for juniors and seniors” and “freshmen and sophomores will be eligible for a partial tuition scholarship and need-based financial aid for two years of full-time study.” Starbucks is making this investment to help support the “nearly 50 percent of college students in the United States today who fail to complete their degrees due to mounting debt, a tenuous work-life balance and lack of support.”
